UpForward.life is a referral and matching service that helps individuals connect with independent therapists, psychologists, coaches, and mental health professionals (“Providers”) based on their needs, goals, and preferences. We do not provide therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and no content or communication on the Site should be interpreted as such.
All services provided by Providers are independent of UpForward.life and are governed by the Provider’s own policies, including their informed consent agreements, privacy practices, and licensure requirements.
2. Eligibility and Use
To use the Site, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Use the Site only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes
By using this Site, you affirm that all information you submit is truthful and accurate.

You are solely responsible for any interaction you have with Providers after being referred through our Site.
5. Matching Process
When you submit a request through UpForward.life, we use the information you provide to connect you with one or more Providers in our extended network. While we aim to make thoughtful and appropriate matches, we do not guarantee compatibility, availability, or outcome.
You are under no obligation to engage with any Provider we refer, and the choice to begin a therapeutic or coaching relationship is entirely yours.
6. Privacy and Data Use
We take privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
While UpForward.life is not a Covered Entity under HIPAA, many Providers we refer to are. Any Protected Health Information (PHI) shared after a referral is governed by the Provider’s own HIPAA-compliant practices, not by UpForward.life.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site—including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software—is the property of UpForward.life or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, modify, republish, or distribute any part of the Site without our written permission.

10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UpForward.life and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of:

11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you herein will immediately cease.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court.
You waive any right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.
